Colorado—the land of two seasons!
Well, at least that is what it seems like. We are either living warm with clear, beautiful skies—or are cold and snowy. We love both. Colorado Springs sits at the foothills of the front range with Pikes Peak as the primary mountain feature. We can set out on a hiking adventure with the trailhead only a half hour away or take a more adventurous journey to Rocky Mountain State Park that is only 4 hours away. Locally we enjoy hikes at Garden of the Gods and visits to Manitou Springs for some quaint shopping and eateries. Our favorite adventures with our RV are only an hour or so away at Mueller State Park and Colorado Campground. We enjoy fishing, and trout can be found in lakes within a couple of hours. In the winter, ski resorts are numerous throughout the Rocky Mountains with the most amazing, soft snow in the world. Denver is only an hour away with endless possibilities for a night out. Shopping, a theme park, football, and more!

Camping
We started camping as a family when my first child, Melody, was 5 months old. We adventured in a tent trailer down highway 49 (the gold route) in California. It was a terrific trip and we have enjoyed the California beaches and mountains for years. Now we enjoy the Rocky Mountains, and I hope you and your family will, too!
